Terms
Terms of use
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Draft for legal review: this text has not yet been reviewed by counsel and may change before launch.
These terms cover using Bookwise booking pages as a customer and using Bookwise as a business.
Bookings are with the business
When you book through a Bookwise page, your booking, its price and its cancellation terms are an agreement between you and the business. The terms shown before you confirm, including the cancellation policy, apply. Bookwise provides the booking page and does not charge customers a booking commission.
Payments
Customers don't pay online through Bookwise: you pay the business as it asks, and its cancellation policy applies. Businesses on Bookwise Pro are billed monthly by Polar, our merchant of record, which handles payment, receipts and tax; Pro can be cancelled at any time and stays active until the end of the paid month.
Booking through an AI assistant
If an AI assistant or other software books for you, you are responsible for the details it submits on your behalf. Bookwise confirms important steps, such as a verification code or deposit, with you directly.
For businesses
Keep your listing accurate (prices, availability, policies and photos of what customers will receive), honour confirmed bookings, and use customer details only to provide your service and, where customers agreed, to send offers. Don't publish text aimed at manipulating AI assistants. You are responsible for your own taxes, licences and consumer-law obligations.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no fake or automated bookings meant to block availability, no attempts to access other people's bookings or accounts, and no scraping that disrupts the service.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Bookwise available and accurate but can't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Bookwise isn't liable for a business's service or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and, for material changes, tell business owners in advance.
